Paxa Labs and Botnoi Voice for Thai speech

Two Thai speech vendors compared on the things that differ, from how you buy to what the API gives a developer.

Both products are built for Thai. Neither of us treats Thai as a locale added to something else, and the usual comparison line does not apply here. What differs is the shape of the thing. Botnoi sells packages and pairs its API with a web application people use directly. We sell an API and a credit balance, with a browser playground for testing that API. Which one fits depends on who at your company makes the speech.

When Botnoi Voice is the better choice

If the people who need speech at your company are not developers, a product with a real application around it is worth more than an API with a better rate. Botnoi has built that application and we have not, and pointing a marketing team at a REST endpoint is not a plan. They are also an established Thai vendor with a longer public track record than ours, which is a legitimate thing to weigh. Choose us when the consumer of the speech is your own software.

Questions

Do you publish quality comparisons against Botnoi?
No. We publish no quality or accuracy figures of our own, and we will not rank another Thai vendor. Generate the same script on both and listen.
Is there a non-developer way to use Paxa?
The playground in the dashboard generates real speech and downloads it, which covers occasional use. It is a test surface for the API, and we describe it as one.
Do credits expire?
Wallet credits, including the free grant and any refill you buy, persist. Plan credits reset each billing cycle, and spend draws the plan bucket first so the resetting half is used before the one that keeps.
How current are the prices here?
They come from each vendor's published rates, recorded in one place and re-checked on a fixed schedule; the month of the last check is at the top of the page.
Can we test before committing?
Yes. New accounts get free credits with no card, and every voice in the roster can be auditioned on the site before you sign in at all.
