Google Cloud Text-to-Speech is the default answer for a team that already runs on Google Cloud, and its language list is far longer than ours will ever be. The trade is the usual one with platform services. You get breadth, an existing billing relationship, and a service that will outlive most startups. You also get a service whose Thai is one entry among very many, and a setup path that begins with a cloud project. We are the opposite shape. One API key, one balance, and a model whose whole design constraint is Thai and English in the same sentence.

When Google Cloud is the better choice

If you are already on Google Cloud, the marginal cost of turning on one more service there is close to zero, and that matters more than a rate card. If you need dozens of languages, the comparison is not close. If your procurement requires a vendor with global compliance certifications and a support contract, a cloud provider clears a bar we do not yet clear. Weigh us when Thai is the whole workload, and when a smaller, faster-moving vendor is an acceptable trade for a model built around your language.

Questions

Can we keep Google for other languages and use you for Thai?
Yes, and for many teams that is the sensible arrangement. Nothing in either API prevents routing by language.
Is there an OpenAI-compatible endpoint?
Yes. Point an existing OpenAI SDK at our base URL and call the speech endpoint; requests stream by default and bill at the same per-character rate.
Do you publish latency or quality numbers?
No. We publish no latency claims and no accuracy figures of our own, for our model or anyone else's. Test both on your own text.
How current are the prices here?
They come from each vendor's published list rate, recorded in one place and re-checked on a fixed schedule; the month of the last check is at the top of the page.
Do you run as a cloud TTS service?
Yes. The speech API is hosted and a request is one HTTPS call carrying an API key. Setup does not involve a cloud project or a service account.
